As all of John Jenkins Designs pieces, these pieces are all limited edition, limited to 500 figures for each set. These military miniatures are based on the Battle of Culloden Moor from April 1746. Charles Stuart invaded England after being encouraged by King Louis XV of France. After gathering Catholic forces from Scotland Charles moved into England. When France did not deliver on their promise to provide 12000 troops to aide Charles and the English Catholics did not support his attempt at capturing the throne, Charles was forced to retreat to Scotland, pursued by the English. He made his stand at Culloden Moor, known as the Jacobite Rebellion, before fleeing back to France.
