The Nashorn was an effective, light armored, anti-tank vehicle with a PAK 43 Anti-Tank Gun. After its production in 1943 it remained in service for the German military through the remainder of WWII. The Nashorn was the predecessor to the more heavily armored Jagdpanzer IV, that carried a less powerful anti-tank gun, but was more heavily armored.
