The M7 is a 105mm mobile artillery, self propelled howitzer. The British had a version of the M7 and the US, also known as the Texas special was an M7 but armored with additional armor on the ammo racks. The M7 was the self propelled artillery of choice for the allies in World War II. The British were the first to see combat with the M7. The 105mm Howitzer was removed in some M7 artillery vehicles in the Asian campaign to utilize the vehicle as a troop transport.
Figarti has released a new US M7 "Texas Special" self propelled Howitzer this past month. They only fabricated 100 of the figure.
