John Jenkins Designs: Battle On The Monongahela

BgsToySoldiers.com has just received John Jenkins Designs latest releases from their Battle on the Monongahela collection. The latest collection of pieces are some wagoneers and British artillery pieces. The roads that were traveled during Braddock's expedition were badly constructed and resulted in the British artillery moving at about 2 miles a day. Civilians were used to move the artillery accross the country. One of these wagoneers was a young 21 year old Daniel Boone. He was one of the lucky survivors of Braddock's Disaster.

On 9th July 1755 amid the wilderness of North America, Britain suffered one of the most humiliating defeats in her history. General Braddock's army, a mixture of British regulars and American Militia, was devastated, losing over 900 men from a force of 1,300. General Braddock was killed and the remnants of his army were rescued by his aide, Colonel George Washington. This defeat and subsequent chain of events ultimately led to the start of the Seven Years' War.

Pictured on the right is the John Jenkins Designs: British Artillery Crew - BA-01, which is limited to only 350 pieces and retails for $92.00 USD.
